  About the National center of hematology(NCH) and Iraqi society of hematology(ISOH)
The National Center of Hematology (NCH) is a governmental non-profit academic research center belongs to Mustansiriyah University. It was established according to ministerial order M/S/4 in 1998 and it was opened officially to serve patients and researchers in April 2000.

Since its establishment in April 2000, NCH has been an active scientific research body and the leading cancer center in Iraq providing state of the art comprehensive care for all types of malignant and benign blood disorders. NCH delivers comprehensive cancer care by treating patients with different types of leukemias focusing on their physical, emotional and social well-being. In that regard, NCH has established programs which focus on all stages of comprehensive cancer care: from prevention and early detection, through diagnosis and treatment, to palliative care. NCH offers many services for researchers through benefit from advanced diagnostic laboratory machines which is available in center.

The Iraqi society of hematology (ISOH) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. It was established in 2001.ISOH work together with NCH to share ideas and knowledge, and to support and strengthen hematology practice, help shape the future of hematology by providing access to resources, events and educational meetings that support professional development and one of the fruits of this cooperation is publishing Iraqi journal of hematology.
  About the Journal

Iraqi Journal of Hematology is official publication of the National Center of Hematology Mustansiriyah University and Iraqi society of hematology. It is a peer-reviewed, print + online, Semiannual journal. It is a non-profit peer-reviewed international English-language journal covering all subjects relevant to hematology. The journal’s full text is available online at http://www.ijhjournal.org. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The journal does not charge for submission, processing or publication of manuscripts and even for color reproduction of photographs print on demand compilation of issues published. The journal’s full text is available online at http://www.ijhonline.org. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository.

This is an open access journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.

Digital Archiving

Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.

Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.

CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.

Ahead of Print policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.

Advertisements

While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:

  • "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
  • The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
  • Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.

  Scope of the journal

The aim of Iraqi Journal of Hematology is to publish original research papers in clinical, laboratory and experimental hematology. The Journal also features annotations, reviews, short reports, images in hematology and Letters to the Editor. In addition to clinical and laboratory hematologists , general practitioners interested in hematology and internal medicine specialists are among the target groups.
